East African Customs Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate Course (EACFFPC)

Kenya Revenue Authority and KIFWA are pleased to announce the commencement of the above course at the KRATI, Mombasa on 7th May, 2007.

The EACFFPC is a regional training programme developed by Federation of Eastern Africa Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA) and East African Revenue Authorities. The programme aims at professionalizing the clearing and freight forwarding industry. The certificate attained, will eventually lead to acceptance into employment and operation in the clearing and forwarding industry in five countries in the region – Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for admission into the above course.  Selection of qualified applicants is on first come first served basis.

Target group

The course is intended for individuals who are already practicing or intend to practice in the Clearing and Forwarding industry.

Admission Requirements

  1. “O” level certificate,  KCSE C- or its equivalent
  2. Five years experience as a Customs Officer or Declaration officer.
  3. Ex-Customs personnel at the level of officer may be exempted from taking classes, but would be required to sit for examinations.
  4. Persons at the level of Declaration officer or/ aged 45 and above with a minimum of 15 years experience may be exempted from classes but will have to sit for the examinations.

 
Application Procedure

Applications should be addressed to the Deputy Commissioner- Kenya Revenue Authority Training Institute and sent to KIFWA offices by 20th April, 2007.

Duration
6 months part-time  course running in the evening from 5.30 pm – 7.30pm and 7.30pm – 9.30pm at KRATI Mombasa.

 

Tuition fees
Kshs. 15,000/= payable in full by Bankers Cheque or money order to:
The Commissioner of Customs Services Department.
