Kenya Revenue Authority has registered 96 taxpayers in the ongoing piloting programme of Integrated Tax management System (ITMS) that kicked off in mid – December 2008. According to the KRA’s ITMS Project manager Mrs. Elizabeth Meyo, plans are underway to expand registration of more taxpayers in all KRA Regions. Seventy (75) taxpayers have so far been trained on the ITMS with Thirty Seven (37) of them having the software installed in their respective computers. Sensitisation programmes for more stakeholders including staff and taxpayers will continue from 26th January to 5th February 2009 country wide.
