Kenya Revenue Authority wishes to inform the public that pursuant to Cap 403 Section 5 (3) of the Laws of Kenya, they should perform an official search and get a signed copy of records before purchasing a motor vehicle.

A search enables one to get relevant information about motor vehicle upon payment of prescribes fees. A copy of records should be signed by either the Registrar of Motor Vehicles or an authorised licensing officer.

Official search results can be used as surety in a court of law when accompanied by a logbook.
