In order to facilitate clearance of goods intended for consumption in the December and New Year festive season, the Customs and Excise Department has decided to provide services by working on Saturdays up to and including Saturday 18^th of December 2004.

The Commissioner of Customs and Excise would therefore like to inform importers that all entries on which duties are paid by Friday of each week, shall all be processed and goods released by the following day (Saturday). Importers are encouraged to take advantage of the extended working hours to avoid last minute rush to beat the Christmas and New Year holidays.
